Brian K. Wade came to IBM VM Development in December, 1986 after earning his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. In VM Development, Brian has worked almost solely on CMS issues, ranging from CMS communication technologies to the design of CMS multitasking and the porting of selected Posix utilities to OpenEdition VM/ESA. Brian has spent several years conducting research on the design and implementation of large-scale, CMS-based server programs and shipped the Reusable Server Kernel as the culmination of that work.
