Our 1999 Fall (October) Anniversary Meeting was held in Dayton, Ohio, home of the US Air Force Museum and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, headquarters of the U.S. logistics command.
The air was crisp, but no one seemed to mind as they enjoyed the continental breakfast, talked to old friends and greeted the new attendees. The service was excellent and meeting attendees enjoyed a hearty buffet lunch to celebrate the beginning of MVMRUG's 14th year of service.
The Englewood Holiday Inn , is located at 101 Rockridge Road, Englewood Ohio just north of Dayton, Ohio at exit 29 off of I-70.
"The Barnsider" hosted our Thursday night Dinner and social and everyone enjoyed the thick steaks and delicious seafood.
The evening was very relaxed and everyone tried to share their experiences as well as their "best" travel stories. Jim Elliott from IBM won first prize when he shared his experience of having a bed fall into his room from an upper floor. What an experience!
