MVMRUG October 24, 1997 Meeting

Our MVMRUG Fall 1997 "Eleventh" Anniversary meeting was held in the hometown of the Indy 500!

Location: Embassy Suites, Indianapolis, Indiana

The Embassy Suites, Indianapolis North is located in Fortune Park Setting in the Northwest corner of the I-465 Loop. The hotel supplied us with spacious two-room suites and a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast. There were a variety of suites to choose from and everyone seemed quite pleased with their overnight accomodations. We were even able to plan our trip with the hotel's "Plan Your Drive" web page.

Thursday Night Dinner and Social

Our Thursday Night Dinner and Social "dutch-treat" dinner was an "Evening of Magic". We entered the Illusions Restaurant via a false wall and then were entertained by Al "The Amazing ALTO" Tokarsky, Robert Nix and the "Illusion's" magician's staff. It was a fun-filled evening with many laughs and very good food. There were plenty of card tricks, money disappeared and various other items moved around magically, changed colors or simply appeared at the wave of the magician's wand (or hand). Our first menu simply appeared out of a magician's hat!
