Our first MVMRUG MEETING of 2001 was held in Columbus, Ohio, the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Ohio state capitol.
A continental breakfast was served. We ate our lunch in the cafeteria and then enjoyed additional beverages and cookies in the afternoon during the speaker presentations.
NiSource (formerly Columbia Energy Group Service Corporation), is located at 1600 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215 at the intersection of Dublin Road and Fifth Avenue. The accommodations were quite nice (a new room) and a very special "thank you" is extended to NiSource for their hospitality.
We chose again to have the River Club Restaurant host our MVMRUG Thursday night dinner and social since we had such a good evening there two years ago.
The Columbus skyline was our backdrop and everyone commented on the difference in the weather. The Olentangy and Scioto Rivers were frozen this time, there was no fog, thunder or lightning, but the food was still wonderful and mouth-watering. Almost everyone ordered swordfish and it was definitely delicious.
