MVMRUG January 28, 2000 Meeting

Our first MVMRUG meeting of the new millenium was held in Columbus Ohio, the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes , COSI and the Columbus Zoo..

A continental breakfast was served and everyone had the opportunity to see some "old" friends as well as greet some new "vmers".

Location: Ross Products Division, Abbott Laboratories, Inc.
Columbus, Ohio

Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories is located at 3300 Stelzer Road in Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Ross Products Division was the perfect host with excellent facilities, a very comfortable meeting room with all the amenities and easy access to phones and terminals. Not only did they offer us lunch coupons for their wonderful cafeteria foods, but juice, coffee, snacks and desserts were always available in the meeting room. And a tour of their Data Center topped the day for those who were available after the meeting.

A very special "thank you" to Ross Products Division, Abbott Laboratories, Inc. for their wonderful hospitality!

Thursday Night Dinner & Social

The next time you are in Columbus and want some excellent seafood, why not visit "The Ocean Club" which is located in Easton Town Center.

In addition to the normal menu faire (soups, salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts) they also have "Simply Raw", a selection of chilled oysters, sushi, tuna and shrimp cocktails. "Ginger Crusted Salmon", "Gulf Coast Swordfish" and "Yellowfin Tuna Ponzu" topped the "Ocean's Club" menu as specialties of the house. The food was wonderful, artfully presented and the service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the restaurant immensely!
