Mark Post is a Senior Infrastructure Specialist in EDS' Mainframe Platforms Operating Systems Repository Support group. He is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and distribution of mainframe operating systems and program products to EDS data centers world-wide. He has been in the Information Technology business for 24 years, 17 of them with EDS. Since May of 2000, Mark has been heavily involved in the evolution of the Linux for S/390 and zSeries platform, and was one of the co-authors of IBM's second RedBook on Linux/390, Linux for zSeries and S/390: Distributions, SG24-6264. In addition to being an active participant in the Linux-390 mailing list that is hosted by Marist College, he is currently the webmaster for the mailing list's companion web site, linuxvm.org.
Before working for EDS, Mark worked at the General Motors Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan as an application programmer, and then as a systems programmer supporting MVS and VM.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri - Rolla in 1978.
