Jim Elliott, Linux for zSeries, z/VM and VSE Product Manager, IBM Americas, Jim is currently responsible for the Linux on zSeries, z/VM and VSE platforms in the Americas. Over a 28 year career at IBM, he has had roles in IT operations, mainframe systems programming and application development, and technical marketing support. For the last ten years he has been responsible for product management for a variety of enterprise server platforms in Canada, including OS/390, VM/ESA and VSE/ESA. For the last three years he has been the Product Manager for IBM's VM and VSE platforms in the Americas and since November of 1999, has focused on Linux on the mainframe.
